Beena Kamath, MD is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Neonatology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Her current research interests include neonatal outcomes after Cesarean section and fetal lung maturity testing. She has worked as a pediatrician and/or neonatal consultant in Ecuador, Ghana, Nepal, Peru, and Tibet. She spent a year working as a neonatal registrar/fellow at the Children’s Hospital of Westmead in Sydney, Australia and completed her fellowship training in Neonatal Medicine at University of Colorado Health Sciences/Denver Children’s Hospital. She obtained a BS in Biological Anthropology/Anatomy and a BA in History at Duke University, her MD from Georgetown University, and her MPH from University of Colorado School of Public Health.
